One way to maximize speed and reliability to your Go Kart engine is to simply utilize a motorcycle engine. Go Kart riding and racing are a fun activity for adults and children. A Go Kart is a small vehicle, with a typical design consisting of a small, automatic engine; four wheels, a steering wheel, and brakes.

Use a pattern, a template, or a guide to make sure that the shape of the A-Arm is accurate and equal all over. Weld all joints and pieces together well. Use steel clips to keep these pieces from moving while welding. Use the right size of nuts to lock bolts.

To create a go kart with a lawn mower engine, measure the size of your engine so you know how large your frame will need to be, such as a 5 to 7 horsepower engine for a standard-sized kart. Next, cut the materials to the right size for your kart, making the kart's width about 2/3 of your wheel base, and assemble them.

The toughest part is understanding the right gauge to use. Most Go-Karts use a ANSI #35 or #40 chain so stick with those if you have them. The Drift-2 comes with a motorcycle gauge 420 which is a half inch pitch but not quite the same as #40 or any European standard.

To build a go-kart, start by welding a chassis from metal rods, using gussets at the corners to reinforce the frame. Install your rear axle and wheel assembly, then build a seat out of plywood and bolt it to the frame. Next, weld your engine mount onto the rear frame.
